David Profitt (he/him)

David grew up in Cape Town, South Africa and came to Chicago to study theology and music. He met his wife Kathryn (from Canada) at school and they have made their home in the Chicagoland area since graduation.

David and Kathryn have two children, Gavin (16) and Addy (14) they live in Glen Ellyn with their dog, cat and chickens. He has worked in the church for close to 20 years focusing on family ministries and missional service. Currently, David is in his final year of a masters of divinity program and is in process to becoming a licensed local pastor with the UMC.

David is looking forward to serving with Urban Village as the Interim Director of Family Ministries. He hopes to connect with kids, parents, volunteers and UVC members to discover how UVC can best serve its families. Please reach out to David with questions or suggestions at any time.
