Shelby Jordan-Lake (she/her)

Shelby is a Tennessee native, outdoor-loving, tennis player who joined UVC-West upon moving to Oak Park, IL in 2019. Shelby has been singing, playing guitar, piano, writing music, and picking up various instruments throughout her life, education, and professional work. Shelby studied Commercial Songwriting and Recording Industry during her undergraduate education and has her master’s in Music Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Shelby describes feeling most connected to God when worshipping through music and song, viewing music as an outward expression of her faith, and as a prayerful aide when words fail.
