Next Steps

UVC is currently in a time of significant transition as our Executive Pastor Emily McGinley departs.

Now: A sub-team of our ONE Board are reviewing applications received from candidates, many of whom have been invited to apply, for the role of "Interim Support Pastor." This team, along with Pastor Christian, will hold interviews and conversations with selected candidates to assess fit and clarify the expectations/needs of the role. 

Early August: Interim Support Pastor begins in their role. Responsibilities consist of:

• Weekly preaching (rotating across all sites)
• Leadership of 2023 Stewardship campaign strategy
• Support efforts to increase volunteer support at city sites
• Support discernment work of the One Board and staff in re-imagining staffing and the role/description of the next Lead Co-Pastor.

Beginning August 1st: Christian Coon will take on the role of Interim Lead Pastor
